Registration Cancellation & Refund Policy
To ensure the successful planning and delivery of our events, Homeward Zimbabwe commits to significant venue, supplier, marketing, hospitality and administrative costs well in advance of each event. As a result, the following cancellation policy applies to all delegate registrations and bookings.
Cancellation Requests
All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to the Homeward Zimbabwe Events Team. A cancellation will only be deemed effective once written confirmation has been acknowledged by Homeward Zimbabwe.
Refund Eligibility
More than 45 days before the event: Registrants may be eligible for a refund of amounts paid, less a non-refundable administrative fee and any costs already incurred on their behalf, including but not limited to venue deposits, payment processing fees, accommodation, hospitality, merchandise, marketing, travel arrangements or other third-party commitments.
Within 45 days of the event: No refunds will be issued. At this stage, substantial financial commitments and contractual obligations will have been made with venues, suppliers and service providers, making it impossible to recover costs.
Non-Refundable Circumstances
Refunds will not be granted due to, including but not limited to:
Change of mind.
Personal or family circumstances.
Illness (unless required by applicable law).
Travel disruptions or visa delays/refusals.
Work or business commitments.
Failure to obtain required travel documentation.
Failure to attend the event ("no-show").
Late arrival or early departure.
Transfer of Registration
Where possible, a delegate may request to transfer their registration to another person from the same organisation or family, subject to prior written approval by Homeward Zimbabwe. Transfer requests must be received no later than 14 days before the event and may be subject to an administration fee.
Event Changes
Homeward Zimbabwe reserves the right to amend the event programme, speakers, venue, schedule or format where necessary. Such changes shall not constitute grounds for cancellation or refund.
Force Majeure
Homeward Zimbabwe shall not be liable for any cancellation, postponement or modification of the event resulting from circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, severe weather, pandemics, government restrictions, civil unrest, industrial action, transport disruptions or any other force majeure event. Where practical, registrations may be transferred to a rescheduled event or held as a credit for a future Homeward Zimbabwe event. Cash refunds in such circumstances shall be at the sole discretion of Homeward Zimbabwe.
Processing of Approved Refunds
Where a refund has been approved, it will be processed using the original method of payment within 30 business days, less any applicable administrative charges, banking fees and unrecoverable third-party costs.
Visa Support Letters
Visa invitation/support letters are strictly issued solely to confirmed delegates whose non-refundable deposits have been received. Payment of a deposit does not guarantee the approval of a visa. Homeward Zimbabwe cannot be held responsible for visa refusals or delays by the relevant immigration authorities.
Acceptance of Terms
By registering for a Homeward Zimbabwe event, all participants acknowledge that they have read, understood and accepted this Cancellation and Refund Policy and agree to be bound by its terms.
Registration is confirmed only upon receipt of your deposit payment. By completing your registration and payment, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to the Homeward Zimbabwe Cancellation & Refund Policy.
